Constitutional Court – commentary on the press release

The press release of 1 December 2022 disappointed the expectations of many citizens who were hoping for an intervention that would restore respect for the fundamental right of ownership of the body in Italy. The decision promises to be purely political and aimed at protecting and endorsing the decisions of the previous government. We analyse the viable courses of action, the impact, if any, of the judgment on pending proceedings, and the further means of defence available to citizens. It is even more important to resist, disobey, and continue fighting in every forum, including the courts.
