WE HAVE WON – NOW THE REFERENDUM

In this video, immediate commentary on the European election results:   Over half of Italians did not vote in the European elections. A clear sign that they do not believe in the European Union and are unwilling to participate in the electoral ritual. A serious government would now organise a consultative referendum (not provided for under the Constitution, but entirely lawful) to ask Italians whether they truly wish to be part of the European Union. On the other hand, as we are constantly reminded, sovereignty belongs to the people. Very well, let us see what Italians think, and let the government commit itself, as the British one did at the time of Brexit, to leaving the EU if that is the will of the electorate.
